Some great ideas on launching, managing, improving a content marketing strategy program for your business.
I perceive the number #1 issue to be as the author defined it:
"Most marketing professionals (read: small business owners, consultants, coaches, personal service firms) involved in the content creation process do not use editorial calendars."
Just throwing crap against the wall hoping your clients, customers, and prospects will find it engaging is wishful thinking. You've got to plan, structure, organize, and calendar out what you're going to share with those networks on which channels and when (LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+, and Twitter).
Without an editorial calendar, it comes off as disorganized, random, unprofessional, and lacking in specific purpose.
