We used to think that 'knowledge was power' (when knowledge lived in people's heads). We then moved our thinking to one of 'access to knowledge is power' (when the internet opened up access for all). Now we have so much or too much information - the key is searching, filtering and sense making - 'access to the right knowledge at the right time is power'.
