If you magically traveled back to Shakespeare's time, you'd find that people were no less potty-mouthed than they are today; they swore just as often, except they used some different (but no less crude) words. These days, some of the legendary old-time crudities have started to feel neglected. Won't you help them out?
As it turns out, there are a ton of studies that explore the influence of specific types of music as they relate to your productivity levels. To help you find just the right mix, we've sourced and curated seven Spotify playlists designed with specific studies in mind. Whether you're into Mozart or Chance The Rapper, we're confident that there's something on this list that will do the trick....
Seems we've consumed way too much sweets during Easter and other holidays. Also on the bottom about the Easter Date Calendar for the next 80 years, has anyone tried to work out the equation ? Give it a go!
As part of a tasty new tourism campaign, ad agency Lapiz just made Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs a reality. But instead of soup and juice, this futuristic cloud rains something altogether more buzzy—tequila. Lapiz, a unit of Leo Burnett, used ultrasonic humidifiers to vibrate tequila at a frequency that actually turned it into visible mist. This mist was then condensed into liquid form, which fell as raindrops. All of this happened as a special exhibit in Berlin, Germany, during the rainiest month of the year—to promote Mexico as a vacation destination....

There's a lot of study about how the prevalence of emojis are changing the way we communicate. Linguists debate what we gain versus what we lose when we express sadness by texting a crying face rather than saying, "I'll miss you." But emojis aren't just about communication—they can be art, too. That's the premise of a fun little campaign from Cantor Fine Art gallery in Hollywood, anyway, which for the past couple of weeks has been using its Instagram account to share emoji-fied versions of the world's greatest artists and their work—from Magritte's Son of Man to Vincent van Gogh to Georgia O'Keeffe's skulls to Keith Haring to Jackson Pollack. The breadth of the project is a big part of the fun (Damien Hirst works surprisingly well as an emoji!), but the campaign's faithfulness to both the artists and the emojis is what really elevates the project. Emojis are a part of our culture and how we communicate now, for better or for worse, and while seeing a cute lil' Andy Warhol in sunglasses sipping from his can of Campbell's Soup is a fun gag, it does also raise the question of what a pop culture-obsessed figure like Warhol would make of this contemporary visual language. That's a fair bit of heavy lifting for a quirky campaign intended to draw attention to a fine art gallery in Los Angeles whose current show is called "Please Touch the Art," and it's the least pretentious way possible to get us thinking in those terms....
Have you ever heard an acronym but you didn't know what it meant? It can really throw you off your game in a conversation. I usually try to write it down discreetly or, if I have a laptop, look it up online without anyone seeing. But industry-specific acronyms can have multiple meanings, and sometimes Wikipedia doesn't do them justice. That's why we curated 34 of the most common marketing acronyms and 41 of the most common business acronyms -- and put them into an epic glossary you can skim, study, or bookmark and save for later...
Without fail, I almost always forget to put up an out-of-office email message when I'm headed out for vacation. It's one of those things I remember just as I'm shutting down, or sometimes even after I've already left. (Heh, sorry guys.) Since I usually throw them up in a hurry, I don't take a lot of time to get creative. However, I remembered to put up my OOO message early this time around -- so I decided to do some Googling for funny, clever, and snarky messages people have used in the past. Here are some of the gems I found....
The smartphone that is probably within arm’s reach of you now has more computing power than the Apollo missions to the moon. No, really.
Before we get into the jaw-dropping info on this graphic, I would like to take a second to note that “teraflop” and “petaflop” are actual technical terms, and that that is awesome. Ok, back to business.
Not only is your smartphone more powerful than the Apollo missions, but your PS4 is more powerful than the late 90’s supercomputer that first beat a human at chess. 150 times more powerful, in fact. But here’s the thing that’s really going to bust your noggin – there’s more computing power in a singing birthday card than the entire Allied Forces possessed during WWII.
But the really fun stuff here is Moore’s Law and the future. Gordon Moore noted in the 70’s that the number of transistors in a dense integrated circuit was doubling approximately every two years, and predicted that it would continue to do so. In 2015 the man himself expressed doubt that his “law” would hold up for much longer, as the physical limits of cramming transistors onto a circuit is reached, but we’ll see! Quantum computing, I’m looking at you.

That dog won't hunt, but it will rack up debt via chew-toy impulse buys. Canada's Zulu Alpha Kilo is well known for elaborate self-promotions, like its recently revamped agency website poking fun at agency websites. But the shop does have real clients,...
Elementary school finger painting teaches us that there are three primary colors—red, yellow and blue—that combine to make three secondary colors—orange, green and purple—and (plus or minus some black and white paint) every other color imaginable. That’s six basic colors. But there are seven colors in the rainbow, our most important color symbol. So, basically, purple is subdivided into purple and more-blue-ish-purple. Who the bananas made that decision?!? And why? The short answers: Isaac Newton. And Ancient Greek philosophy. Um, what?...
Although the Oxford English Dictionary editors get the final say, they actually look to us to dictate whether a word should be added. In other words, we have no one but ourselves to blame for all the weird words that make the cut every year.
But we can at least share the blame with technology. None of us would be saying "srsly" if we hadn't felt the urge to shorten words for text messages and emails. We wouldn't be voting anyone off the island if not for the television series Survivor. And, perhaps most importantly, there would be no need for the word "meatspace" without the existence of the virtual world. (One could argue there is still no need.)
Want to see what weird words were added to the OED thanks to internet slang and technology? Read on....

It's no secret that most of the money you see in movies or music videos is fake, but what might surprise you is that most of it comes from one source. Rich "RJ" Rappaport started RJR Props nine years ago as a full-service prop shop, but his specialty is fake cash. As you can imagine, making fake money is a highly regulated endeavor that is closely watched by federal authorities, so Rappaport has to be extra careful to ensure his fakes never make it into circulation. Still, when your prop money is the go-to for rap videos and has been featured in over 175 films and shows, we think it's safe to say that your cash is king...
For the last six years of my life, I have had teachers, lecturers and tutors drill into my brain: Wikipedia is not an acceptable source. And for six whole years I have steered clear of the tomes of knowledge Wikipedia offers me. No longer. Wikipedia has a knack for distracting me from the anxieties of daily life, and there is no better distraction than its carefully curated lists. So, for your consideration, here are the nine best lists on Wikipedia right now....
Excitement is building for the final of the three US Presidential debates.
We’re excited to have a scoop about Donald Trump’s final debate strategy courtesy of a leaked email shared with Sean Hannity and me (The PR Coach) from WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.
Polling reveals Trump opportunity
Campaign Manager Kellyanne Conway’s secret polls have turned up some potentially explosive insight that could help the Trump campaign mount a PR and political comeback according to the email from Conway to Trump.
The secret national poll of registered voters found BBQ was more popular than Hillary Clinton by a whopping margin of 76% to 24% nationally....
Would the first successful manned moon landing have run as smoothly as it did if mission control wasn't properly stocked with strong coffee? Probably not, claims a new campaign for the Colombia Coffee Grower's Federation. The space-themed campaign, which launches on the 47th anniversary of the first manned moon landing, suggests that in every big moment in the world's history, something special was brewing, and that something was probably a cup of Colombian coffee taste-tested, handpicked and inspected to ensure its greatness. Or it was all thanks to Francis—the guy who makes sure break room No. 3 is always stocked with the delicious coffee. You go, Francis!...
If you’re on a business trip to the city of Lausanne in Switzerland, you might have to think twice about drinking an evening beer on your company’s tab in one of the city’s bars. Eyebrows would certainly be raised in accounting at a 33cl beer that costs a whopping $17.60. Situated on the shores of Lake Geneva, the city has the highest beer prices in the world, according to a ranking released by GoEuro. The website compared the price of local and imported draught beer in hotel bars worldwide to compile their ranking. If you find yourself on a business trip to Lausanne, it might be better to visit one of the city’s supermarkets where a bottle of beer costs only $1.42 on average by comparison.Hong Kong also charges extortionate prices for alcoholic drinks in bars with a 33cl beer coming in at just over $11 on average. Paris and Zürich follow with beer prices in bars averaging $10.08 and $10.03 respectively. New York is the only US city to make the top 10 of GoEuro’s ranking with a 33cl beer in a bar costing $9.22 on average. Rome and Tel Aviv round off the ten costliest places to drink beer worldwide with both charging just over $9 on average. There is a massive disparity with the cheapest cities for beer drinkers, the majority of which can be found in Eastern Europe. Bratislava’s bars charge a mere $2.80 on average for a 33cl with Kiev and Cape Town coming second and third for the world’s most affordable brews.

In the infancy of the drone era, we’re still only certain about a handful of specific use cases. Choreographed drone dancing probably wasn’t one of them, unless you’re with MicroAd, the company that created this artful waltz of LED-laden drones in front of Mt. Fuji.
The production featured over 16,500 LED lights on over 20 drones that then launched into a choreographed performance at the foot of Mt. Fuji. The spectacle offered the perfect juxtaposition of old and new and an innovative way for MicroAd to show of its new Sky Magic Drone.
As the drones move through the night sky in conjunction with a band playing the Samisen (traditional Japanese guitar), it imparts a feeling of futuristic wonder that, for just a second, reminds you of the awe-inspiring power conceived at the intersection of tech and creativity....
Can you go 7 for 7? This is one tough quiz!
Just when you think the Bad Lip Reading videos couldn’t get any funnier, along comes this treatment of the recent Republican presidential primary debate.
In this version, the candidates tackle the issues that really matter, as the scurrilous accusations fly.
And they make some crazy pledges to the voters.
While at least one contender’s nerves seem to get the better of him.
In an innovative tweak to the debate format, the candidates get to make their pitches through the medium of song, just as the Founding Fathers surely intended.…while throwing some funky moves....
