In Japan, Literary Vending Machines Make Their Debut - DesignTAXI.com | QR-Code and its applications | Scoop.it

Japan is a country known for vending machines that dispense everything from umbrellas to underwear. At the Tokyo eBook Fair last week, a new flavor was unveiled: eBook vending machines.

The machine was built by Glory, a Japanese firm that engineers self-service machines. After choosing the eBook and paying for it, customers will receive a receipt with a QR code printed on it. Customers then scan the code to download the book.
