It's been a big year for content marketing, and now the vast majority of marketers see it as a key part of their strategy. Less than 1/3 of all companies have dedicated people, a strategy, and a budget.

Everyone's seems shocked and appalled that so few companies have an effective content marketing strategy plan. However, one must consider that this idea of content curation and marketing, has not been around as long as mainstream social media - maybe 12-18 months.
And the worst news is that few companies have embraced social media outside of the big brands.
Is it any wonder no one is jumping on the content curation and marketing bandwagon yet?
That said about the "newness" of content marketing, it is still a force to be acknowledged, researched, and implemented.
It's as important to B2C firms as it is to personal service firms.
My perception of the low adoption rate, especially among entrepreneurs and SMBs is that it is unproven, poor ROI measurements, and a lack of stories to engage, excite, and compel CEOs/Owners to take action.
