Great article on one of my favorite soapbox topics:
Stop flooding your followers, fans, and connections feeds with worthless crap. START to filter it by giving relevant, powerful, useful, thought-provoking content that is combined with your insights.
Your network should instantly understand when you curate and share other people's content why it's important to them - and how you help them to "contextualize" (one of my new favorite buzzwords) it for their needs.
Sharing links by itself is like collecting followers, fans, and connections without engaging them in discussion. It's a mindless, worthless, and useless task.
Are you part of the mindless drones dumping links into my feed on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn just to prove you are active in social media - OR are you helping me by providing insights that I can use and act upon because I trust and respect you?
