I "stumbled" across this article from Forbes on content creation from August 2011 and wanted to share a few thoughts. I find a lot of companies are struggling with the whole idea that they are publishers in the new digital age to engage with their customers and prospects.
However, it's not just about sharing links, or "re-broadcasting" somebody's conversation. It's about YOU adding context, metaphors, analogies, stories, and examples that tie the content to the key issues that your clients, customers, and prospects struggle with daily.
Content curation and marketing are powerful tools to engage prospects at various stages of your sales funnel, and to reinforce the value you bring to existing customers.
As the article mentions, how do you steer or guide the conversation through your content marketing?
